Sept 6-Sept 28: In Praise of the Shadow (recipient of the Juror’s Choice Award) exhibited in the National Juried Photography Exhibition at the Academy Center of the Arts in Lynchburg, VA.
Feb-May: Taught digital photography and filmmaking classes during the spring semester at Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA.
Sept 7-Sept 29: Hand Woven: Connection exhibited in the National Juried Photography Exhibition at the Academy Center of the Arts in Lynchburg, VA.
Aug 21-Sept 22: Perpetual Tea, or, Preparing Our Minds For Anything (awarded Best in Show) debuted in the Asian Fusion show at the Bower Center for the Arts in Bedford, VA. The installation is an offering of fifteen 1-minute meditation videos displayed as a tea ceremony in a tatami room. Thanks to a generous donation by chattra.com a zafu and a zabuton cushion will be available for the viewer to sit and experience the tableau. Special thanks to Steven Halpern and Jorge Alfano for kindly providing their meditation and healing music Deep Theta 2.0 (Part 13). And special thanks to Shantala for graciously providing their sacred chant music Closing Meditation.
May 22-June 30: Eat and Play from the series "Americana" exhibited in the 6th Annual National Juried Exhibition at the Bower Center for the Arts in Bedford, VA.

It All Boils Down To Being A Good And Meaningful Person In The Ways I Know How won the photo contest hosted by Womankind magazine. The theme of the contest was Simple Living and the photo was published in Womankind's Issue #8. In the photograph, Dee is holding a piece of firewood in Earlysville, VA. Womankind is a magazine published in Australia and distributed throughout the UK, Australia, NZ, Europe, Asia, the US and Canada.

Directed a music video from a song and performance by my NYC friend and neighbor, Daniel Angel Robleto, aka Tito, aka iamdeadsmiles58. The song is titled It's The Disease. The video was shot late at night in Washington Heights.
Sold my first piece of art, an oil painting, to Yvette Stapleton from Harlem, NY. The work is titled Vertically as Fire Horizontally as Water.

April Sun premiered on KCRW in Santa Monica, California thanks to DJ Chris Douridas and his show New Ground. Mr. Douridas discovered the song on my MySpace page which was formerly called Cubiclea.
Hired by Universal Television as the Production Accountant on the TV series New York Undercover. The series was produced in New York City. Continued working as a Production Accountant in NYC until 2016.
Hired by Viacom Productions as an Assistant Production Accountant on the TV series Father Dowling Mysteries. The series was produced in Los Angeles at Universal City Studios.
Sept 25: Buttered Side Down premiered on opening night of the Chicago Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival (now Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival). The film was produced during my senior year at UCSD.
Attended the University of California at San Diego from 1981-1986 and graduated with a BA in Visual Arts. Studied film, art and photography with David and Eleanor Antin, Harold Cohen, Manny Farber, Jean-Pierre Gorin, Louis Hock, Standish Lawder, Claudio Fenner-Lopez, Chip Lord, Babette Mangolte, Faith Ringgold and Phel Steinmetz.
